Distributed Systems – Emergence of Adaptive Load Sharing Method Using Hierarchical Policy

نویسنده

چکیده

we can improve the performance of distributed systems by load sharing (i.e., distribute load from heavily loaded nodes to lightly loaded ones). Adaptive load sharing policies take system state into account in making job distribution decisions. We can maintain the state information in one of two basic ways: distributed or centralized. This paper discuss on distributed systems which rely on either sender-initiated or receiver-initiated policies. While distribution of state information makes the distributed policies suitable for large distributed systems, they do suffer in performance. This paper mainly focuses on the adaptive load sharing on homogeneous distributed applications (Type-1). This paper also makes comparison over the Centralized and Distributed applications with different decision policies.

A comparative study of adaptive and hierarchical load sharing policies for distributed systems

− Dynamic load sharing policies take system state into account in making load distribution decisions. The state information can be maintained in one of two basic ways: distributed or centralized. Two principal types of policies that belong to the distributed scheme are the sender-initiated and receiverinitiated policies. In the centralized scheme, a central coordinator node is responsible for c...

Hierarchical Load Sharing Policies for Distributed Systems

− Performance of distributed systems can be improved by load sharing. Dynamic load sharing policies take the system state into account in making load distribution decisions. The system state information can be collected in a distributed manner or by a single central controller node. In the distributed scheme, each node gathers the current system state information before making a decision on loa...

Energy Optimization of Under-actuated Crane model for Time-Variant Load Transferring using Optimized Adaptive Combined Hierarchical Sliding Mode Controller

This paper designs an Optimized Adaptive Combined Hierarchical Sliding Mode Controller (OACHSMC) for a time-varying crane model in presence of uncertainties. Uncertainties have always been one of the most important challenges in designing control systems, which include the unknown parameters or un-modeled dynamics in the systems. Sliding mode controller (SMC) is able to compensate the system in...

An adaptive method for accurate sharing of harmonic and unbalanced loads in islanded microgrids

In this paper, a method is proposed for accurate sharing of harmonic and unbalanced loads in islanded microgrids. The proposed method can adaptively improve the load sharing among distributed generation (DG) units based on the circulating currents rules and harmonic and unbalanced powers provided by each DG. Compared with previous methods, the proposed method does not require a dedicated centra...
